Breakin’ a sweat, Skrillex and the Doors

Don’t be like the conservative mom of the 60s, appreciate all evolution of music!

Ci siamo:
Skrillex: I’m breaking a sweat
Ray and Robby: It’s alright!
S: I’m breaking a sweat
R: I’m sayin’ it’s alright!
S: I’m breaking a sweat
R: It’s alright!
R: I’m breaking a sweat
R: Come on baby light my fire!
Skrillex and The Doors presentano Breakin’ a sweat.
Tra polemiche e ovazioni Ray Manzarek tiene la testa alta: “That would be a lot of fun. That’s the new realm of music, electronics. Electronics can go anywhere, so that’s what I’m looking forward to in the future.” e John Densmore commenta: “We’re breaking on through every generation”.
O forse, come afferma John, la musica dei vecchi The Doors ha in comune con i suoni di Skrillex più di quanto appaia a un primo ascolto: “It’s sort of the tribal experience of a giant group of people resonating to the same heartbeat”.
L’interrogativo rimane aperto a risposte soggettive.
Imagine John Densmore while looking at punk-nerd guy: “And I play my drum while he’s doing his robot thing”.
We’re talking about the new collaboration between The Doors and Skrillex, a psychedelic rock band and a beatmaker.
The name of the new song is Breakin’ a sweat, that has reached two millions of click on YouTube.
Is the first The Doors’ single of the 21th century!
The song is a project that comes out from a documentary called RE:GENERATION directed by Amir Bac-lev (February 2012).
Regeneration, rebirth: those are the two topics at the bottom of the film; it unites artists with an unexpected producers: Crystal Method with Martha Reeves, Mark Ronson with Erykah Badu, Pretty Lights and LeAnn Rimes, DJ Premier with the Berklee College of Music Orchestra and, at the end, Skrillex with The Doors.
So, the question is: is it possible to join these differents kinds of music? Or someone has to take second place?
Ray manzarek says: “That would be a lot of fun. That’s the new realm of music, electronics. Electronics can go anywhere, so that’s what I’m looking forward to in the future.” and John Densmore comments: “We’re breaking on through every generation”.
The answer is open to free interpretations.
In spite of the evolution of the music to electronic system, we could say that the human artistic component is essential.

    Ottimo articolo! Brave ragazze! 😀
    Continuate cosi!! 😀
